EMPOWERING MINDS, INNOVATIVE STRATEGIES FOR MODERN EDUCATION AND A BRIGHT FUTURE

Context and Justification:
The embattled regions of the Northwest and Southwest regions of Cameroon with the
ongoing conflict, has had a devastating impact on the lives of youths and their education.
The insecurity in the region couple with the loss of lives, burning of schools and short
down of others, has forced youths to flee to other regions within the country in order to
secure their education. The conflict has led to a dramatic humanitarian situation with over
2,000000 Cameroonians now internally displaced.

## General Objective :

In a bit to reduce the rate of illiteracy and idleness which leads youths to venture in
unproductive activities, the NETWORK FOR EMPOWERMENT AND COMMUNITY
ADVANCEMENT NECA seeks to provide scholarships and educational materials to 300
under privilege, internally displaced and disable children for the 2025/2026 academic
year.

## Expected Results :

• The communities of ELOUMDEN have been educated on the importance of
education among teenagers.
• Scholarship has been provided to 150 pupils of ELOUMDEN.
• Educational kits such as: Text books, Exercise books, school bags, pens, pencils
were provided to 300 pupil’s and students of ELOUMDEN and Kung villages.
Target Group
This project will directly benefit 300 pupil’s and students of the ELOUMDEN and 100
community Leaders and guadians/ Parents who will be present to support the pupil’s and
students while providing community support were necessary for a successful execution of
the project. This project will indirectly target over 50000 persons across the nation
through radio and digital advocacy programs.
Project Duration
This project has an estimated implemented period of 3 months (June-August 2025)
Theory of Change:
If young people get a certain degree of legitimacy and literate upbringing, the society we
find ourselves will record an increase in growth in diverse spheres of the economy; be it
political, economic, social or cultural. More youths in this locality will restrain from
crime wave activities as they will no longer have idle time for unproductive activities
given that they will be occupied with school activities.
